Guide to tuning the 1.4 TSI engine

There is the old 1.4 TSI engine (2013-2015) and the new 1.4 TSI engine 2015- & gt; If you have a 1.4 TSI engine, you can easily get it tuned to have a little more power. You can, for example, choose a chip tuning which gives approx 25-30hp. and 50 nm. more to work with.

Chiptuning - A really good and cheap way to get more traction

A 1.4 TSI engine is available with 140hp / 150hp. and there is a difference in how much power you get out of it. Our chip tuning is made so that there are no problems with, for example, the DSG gearbox not being able to hold. We do not make chip tunings that are too much for the car.

KN filter - More air into the engine

With a sports filter, you get more air into the engine. It is often used to replace the air filter with a K&N air filter. You can also install a brand new intake/air filter system, but it requires some major rebuilding. A K&N filter is easy to install and does not take long.

Downpipe - More flow in the front pipe

A downpipe is the front piece of the exhaust. It is mounted on the turbocharger and goes down under the car and is connected to the rest of the exhaust. A pipe without a catalyst gives a greater flow in the exhaust and thus a higher power. When installing a downpipe without a catalytic converter, the rear lambda probe must be switched off so that it does not report a "defective catalyst" fault

1.4 TSI Sport Exhaust - More power and crisp sound

Getting a new sports exhaust is really nice - You get a stainless exhaust that does not rust, higher flow in the exhaust and thus more power and, not least, a really nice sporty sound when you give the car some gas - Without it is too much. We can highly recommend sports exhaust from Simons - They deliver exhausts in a really nice stainless quality without the price being too high. It gives off an incredibly nice sound without it becoming too much. If Simons doesn't have an exhaust for your car, you can also look at Magnaflow exhausts which is also a really good choice - However, the price is a bit higher.

Upgrade turbo is also an option

If you want to upgrade your turbo in order to deliver more power, you can have the impeller changed and have upgraded bearings in it. There is a "ticket" wheel in it which is incredibly stiff and delivers a lot of air.
